Iyo Sky reminded the world why she’s the WWE Women’s World Champion, blowing the roof off Allegiant Stadium alongside Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley to kick off WrestleMania 41, Night 2 with their triple-threat title match. “The Empress of the Sky” overcame the odds and retained her championship in the first of four title matches on WrestleMania Sunday.
The match began as expected, with the sentiment that Sky was getting overlooked throughout the whole storyline. Belair and Ripley went at it after Sky tried to get the early momentum. With the two challengers focusing on each other, it allowed Sky to get off some great double-team offense, hitting a Blockbuster to both women before a pin attempt on each. The pace of this match was 100 miles per hour from the start, including Sky’s outside moonsault to Ripley after Ripley’s apron senton landed on Belair.
Belair got back into control when she hit a triple suplex on Sky, as she basked in boos from the crowd. Ripley and Belair then teamed up briefly to take out Sky. The triple-threat moves started coming into play when Ripley hit a Razor’s Edge on Sky into Belair.

As the match progressed, the crowd heated up big time. Ripley appeared to have the title won after Sky ate a 450-splash from Belair before taking a Riptide, but the kickout came at two-and-a-half. Sky started to look for the finish, being met with a counter from Ripley that almost led to an avalanche Riptide before countering with an arm drag which led to a failed moonsault, as Ripley kicked her into a KOD from Belair. Ripley broke up the pin, and the “this is awesome” chants began as Belair embraced an impromptu heel role.
In the end, Belair used her braid to whip Ripley and hit a KOD. Sky broke up the pin with a big moonsault, giving her the pin for the win over Belair.
