🎥 Concacaf delivers drama after only 47 seconds during Canada-Mexico
The second Concacaf Nations League semi-final pits Canada against Mexico, with Panama awaiting in the final. And things got off to a chaotic start on Thursday.
It took only 47 seconds for the Mexicans to find the net when Raul Jimenez pounced on an opportunity after some pinball in the box.
The No. 9 was 1-on-1 with goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair and made no mistake to turn things 1-0 early on.
More drama ensued moments later, leaving the Canadians fuming once again.
Derek Cornelius went down in the penalty area following a direct kick to the leg. The initial call was a foul against Canada; however, the incident then went to VAR.
A review was given, but the call went in favour of Mexico, with no penalty awarded.
Fans can expect another drama-filled second half to come!
